Time To Part

First off, I want to thank all of you for a great class. You made me laugh every day... even if it was because you guys were driving me crazy or busting my balls. For your final blog post I'd love if you could end the quarter by answering one final question. What is one thing you will take with you from this course out into your life?

Protest This!

Who is a creative person that you believe has protested/challenged the norm through their work? How? Why? Show us an example.

Obstacles? What Obstacles?

In chps 12 & 13 Weiner discusses creative "obstacles". Do you agree with him? Disagree? What are some obstacles for you personally? For others? Show us an example!

Go With The Flow!

When are you most in Flow? When do you believe most people are in Flow? Examples?

But Why?

What is critical thinking? Why is it required for this course? How will thinking critically about our class material make you a better student in all your courses?

Dead + White + Male = Ideal?

Why do we consider the "Dead White Men" to be the creative ideal? Why Da Vinci, Einstein, Plato & Shakespeare? How do we relate to them today?

Coloring Inside The Lines

Choose an artist/innovator mentioned in chps 1-6 by Weiner. How do they follow the rules of the accepted idea of creativity for their time? How do they break those rules?

Time to Bloom!

Who is your favorite artist (visual, music, film, literary etc.)? Are they an early bloomer or a late bloomer? Show us an example of their work!

Opposites Attract?

Weiner presents 2 different concepts of creativity in chps 9 & 10: Western and Non-Western. What does he state are the main differences between the two? What is your personal experience with either? Both? Got an interesting link that illustrates his point?

But What Is It?

According to Weiner (in pages 8-12) what exactly is creativity? Is there a single definition? Link to something on the web you think is creative!
