Go With The Flow!
When are you most in Flow? When do you believe most people are in Flow? Examples?
I am most in Flow whenever I breakdance or whenever I'm listening to music. Thsoe two things go hand-in-hand together and whenever I'm engaging in one and/or the other, I just feel so at peace and really "in the zone" if you will.
I feel that most people are in Flow when they are engaging in whatever their favorite activity is that allows them to escape and get away from the noise. For example, people who love to do Yoga. They are in a quite, peaceful situation and they go to a place in their minds where there is nothing else but the thought of their own simplicity.
I'm in flow when I am trying to do a certain activity that needs to be done, I don't necessarily like to study but I find when I do the times seems to shoot by me and I have no idea where the time went. Also when I am enjoying myself with a certain activity like basketball or some kind of sport, I tend to get a lot of practice in and once again the time just shoots by. Generally I believe that people that have something that they enjoy the experience the "flow" that puts people into a zone and are able to do many constructive things in a short amount of time.
I'm the most "Flow" when I am fully relaxed and listening to my ipod. The more calm I am the more focused I am with tasks that need to be done. This can deal help with doing such things as doing good in school and work. But I feel the most flowy when I'm able to create and translate my art and dance pieces. Flow tends to be the most successful when you do things you really love. Its an unexplainable feeling because your mind is sort of blank; yet it is still able to produce. Basically everything just comes out more naturaly when it comes to my art. Flow is not forced but comes out effortlessly. Theres one part in the article that really caught my attention to when people are most FLOW.
The meataphor of flow is one that many people have used to describe the sense of effortless action they feel in moments that stand out as the best in their lives.
I am most in "flow" when i am running or working out. It helps to clear my mind and just think about nothing. Although its contradictory to the whole flow concept that the book is talking about, it is when i feel the most flow. I believe that most people are in flow when they are in a peaceful environment doing something that they are passionate about. It allows you to fully concentrate on what you are doing because you have such a strong passion for it, thus allowing the person to create more "flow".
I seem to "flow" the most when I am doing something that is kind of difficult to do and requires some brain power. For instance it could be when I am writing a outline for an essay that I am doing. I feel like when I am writing, time goes by very fast, and it gets easier as time goes by and when I get my juices going.
I believe most people are in flow when they are challenged with something that is not necessarily too hard or too easy. It should have them use their brains and get them thinking. When your mind starts working at a challenging problem things just seem to be easier to do, and you feel really good when you finish it, which will propel you to want to actually finish.
Natsumi Nishi: I am in flow usually when I am creating something for example art like drawing, writing or cooking. In art when my hands warm up and find inspiration I am just in the zone and my hands just flow and I forget the time. There are times when I am writing when this happens but when I am writing it is for fun and not for homework or anything like that. I cook something from my cookbook every Saturday morning and I feel that I'm in the "flow" since I am trying something new, but at the same time it's relaxing.
I'm most in flow when I'm dancing. It's always been a passion of mines and I've been doing it since I was 5. When I'm dancing, time goes by fast and I don't even notice a thing especially when I'm in the process of learning a new routine. When I'm in flow all that matters is me in the moment and the dance.
I think most people are in flow whenever they're doing what it is they have a passion for like sports or their career. People don't necessarily have to have a passion for what their doing to be in flow though. As long as people take whatever they're doing and transform it into something that "satisfies our need for novelty and achievement," they can be experiencing flow. For example, I hate math but when I'm stuck on a problem, I really get into flow just because I really want to figure it out and reach that sense of achievement.
I feel that I am most in "flow' when the pressure is on me to get something done. I feel like I work better and am more efficient when it's "crunch-time". This is both a blessing and a curse for me. When i'm at work and it's super packed and crazy I feel like a switch comes on in me and i'm practically unstoppable; i'm quick, alert, my brains going a mile a minute, and I feel like i'm actually accomplishing things. Also I feel like i'm most in flow when I am by myself, doing the things that I want to really be doing...like singing, writing, or just having Megan time. I feel at peace and am able to clear my head of all the shit that the day brought me.
I think others are in flow when they are doing similar things as me when i'm in my flow, like working, working out, playing sports, singing, dancing, writing, accomplishing difficult goals, or simply spending "them" time. Ultimately I think flow is just doing things that they enjoy, or things that make you feel good/proud of yourself.
I'm most in flow when I start dj'ing. Once I get two or three songs beat-matched, I can go for hours on end and just let loose and have the time of My life. I think people are most in flow when they're doing what they love, enjoying the time they're dedicating to something. DJ Armin Van Buuren has displayed an act of flow still awe-striking to those in the scene. A consistent 9-hour long set for a dedicated crowd requires the ultimate flow and passion. I hope to live up to his name one day
For the most part am I in flow when I take part in what I consider to be my labor of love. Spoken word poetry. It is through my writing that I am able to find my flow. Through that analysis, I believe people are in flow when they do what they love and that allows them to go into this train of thought.
I am mostly in flow when I do cardio workouts. When I do cardio I mentally zone out and I clear my head. Doing cardio is my version of meditation. I am not focused on anything but moving one leg in front of the other. It is very peaceful and relaxing and that is also when my endorphins kick in. People in general are mostly in flow when they are either focused or relaxed. The term flow is an opinion so anybody can achieve flow through different routines. For instance, one might find themselves in flow while playing chess, but I know from my personal experience it is stressful and unachievable for me.
I am most in Flow whenever i write lyrics or i dance because i do not have to think as much when i do these things. I just let go and words just come out easily, so i do not have to force out words. Dancing is what i do to express myself, so that comes naturally to. But there are times when i blank out and I'm doing moves that i do not usually do, which is a good thing. Writing and dancing are things that get me in my Flow.
I am most in flow during a tennis match. The game is so quick paced that I don't really have time to think about how and where to hit the ball, it kind of just happens. Especially if I have a good rally going, my heart is pumping, I'm on edge, endorphins start flowing through my body and it all just sort of seems to come together. Next thing I know, an hour and half has passed by. Also, I am in flow when I'm trying to figure out a problem to something, and my mind is stimulated just enough to stay focused, but not too much where it's overwhelming.
I believe it works the same way for most people. People are in flow when they're doing an activity they enjoy doing, or when their minds' are stimulated just enough to the point to stay focused.
When I flow the most is when I write papers. I kind of just black out and write whatever comes spilling out of my head. I can't just sit and think about something I just have to go off action.
I think people flow when they are at work and need to get something done. They must do it, so they have to get into a rhythm to go about it.
I am most at flow when im playing volleyball. Since its the sport i enjoy playing the most i seem to just forget about evrything else when im playing it. It helps me to relax and forget about my stressfull life, even if for a while! I think that people are most at flow whew they are doing or engaging it what they enjoy most in life. When your like in that "moment" or in the "zone" everything around you don't seem to matter and it almost seems like time goes by to quickly (or for me anyways). An example would be like people who do yoga or pilates, those people engage in these relaxing and meditating outlets to be at peace with themsleves and to help with the days worries. An example would a basketball player. When he drving the ball down the quart, he/she is just focused on getting the ball into the net. The focus can become so intense that they are in the "zone".
I feel most at flow when I'm relaxed & doing something I love . It could be anything from listening to music , reading a GOOD book (otherwise I hate reading) , baking , etc , etc . I think people find flow most when they are doing something that just makes them happy & feel good . It can be any activity that gives sense of relief when you are doing it . Something that you can do without noticing the world around so that your are fully focused & your 100% is put into whatever you are doing .
For the most part, I feel I am most in flow when I am at the gym working out. Once I put my headphones on, or watch whatever they're playing on tv at the time, I feel the most calm and relaxed, but at the same time accomplished because my goal for the time being is being met. With that being said, I believe most people are in Flow when they are relaxed, doing something they like to do, but at the same time a goal is being met. Like the article said, "Flow tends to occur when a person faces a clear set of goals that require appropriate responses." Although a goal is being met, I believe Flow is achieved when you feel relaxed and whatever you're doing is natural and effortless. "The metaphor of flow is one that many people have used to describe the sense of effortless action they feel in moments that stand out as the best in their lives."
A few examples of Flow would be dancing, working out, playing a sport, and doing whatever you are most passionate about even if it is a part of your job or career.
I am most in flow when I'm tasting a delicious food, designing, trying to find a good spot to take a photograph or solving mathematic problem. Since they are my favorite things to do, I really focus whenever I'm into it. These things also brings up different feeling and curiosity. That's why the only thing that I could do is to focus and do whatever I could to achieve the goal or figure out a way to go.
I believe that "Flow" always occurs when most people started focusing on doing some activities that they like.
People are in flow when ever they do something they wanted to do, in other words something they like to do. People are totally engaged to the flow only at that time. Most of time I am in flow when I am drawing, also dancing. People are trying to get in to the flow even when they do something they don’t like to do, but it doesn’t give the full outcome that they want, because they do not pay full attention on they are doing. If you are in flow you will make amazing creative things, and you will become amazingly creative.
Flow tends to occur when I have a goal or deadline to meet. For example, this happens when I am doing a project, writing to even cleaning/organizing my room. Usually I am determined to reach that goal and find myself immersed in constant thought and 100% productivity. As for cleaning, there is not much thought put in, but I find that my body is able to organize as my mind is in another place. I find that it is relaxing and it makes time go by.
People are most likely to experience flow when there are goals to be met, their skills being challenged or if they are doing something they enjoy.
I'm in the flow when I'm listening to music it always keeps me relaxed and I forget about everything that's around me. Another thing that keeps me relaxed is playing my favorite sports they always keep me relaxed no matter what even if I'm in the zone or not I love to have fun and forget about all my problems or anything thing that will stress me out.
I think people are more in the flow when they are doing things that they enjoy doing. For example there are some people that the way they relax is just to sit down with something to drink and watch movies. That's the way they want to feel relaxed so I think every person has their own way of relaxing.
Im most in the flow when i listen to music. i like to listen to music when im doing my homework and driving. Music helps me concentrate and relax.in addition i usually listen to music before i go to sleep because it helps me relax and clear my mind after a long day. People are most in the flow when they are doing things that helps them relax and have fun with no worries. For example some people are in the flow when they shop, work out, and when they are creative like drawing.
I feel the most in the flow when I'm snowboarding. Flying down the mountain is extremly relaxing and calming. It allows me to clear my mind and not worry about what's going on in my life.
I think people are most in their flow when they are doing something they love. Even if some people believe it's a stressful activity to the person that loves it could be stress free and calming.
I'm the most in flow when I just put on my iPod and dance. Dancing is a way to relieve my stress and just leave all my cares behind. Music also helps me to relax, and it helps me clear my head and forget about all the stress I went through throughout the day. After I dance for a little while, I find myself more focused and ready to take on the rest of my day, such as doing my homework or doing my chores.
I believe that people are most in flow when they find something that they love that helps them relax. For some people, it could be playing their favorite sport, listening to their favorite music, exercising, or even going to that special place in their house (ie. their bedroom, backyard, etc) that is quiet and helps them concentrate. I think that when someone has their mind set on something, they can find that medium that helps them de-stress and focus on achieving that goal.
I feel the most in flow when I play poker. Its something that something I really enjoy and its something I like to do when I'm feeling sad. Theres never a boring time when we play.
I believe that people are most in flow when they something the enjoy. Whether its sports, music, singing, or etc. Its something that they can do for hours and never get boring of it.
I am most in flow during swim meets and especially during my last lap of a race. Blood is pumping throughout my body and adrenaline kicks in which allows me to go faster and stronger. All i think about is finishing the race and beating the other swimmers next to me. My body is in pain sometimes during the last part of the races but its all mental. And this is where flow comes in becomes i'm so into the race that i don't think about the pain.
Most people are in flow when they are doing something that needs to be completed. Whether it would be writing a paper or working out, there has to be some sort of deadline/goal involved.
I feel that I am most in Flow when I'm listening to or creating music. There have been numerous studies that have concluded that multitasking with music on will have negative effects on one's primary task at hand, but I honestly believe otherwise. Listening to music while doing studying or doing homework legitimately accelerates my learning, and I have grown so accustomed to the act that it has come to the point where it's nearly impossible for me to not listen to music while studying.
I am in 'flow' when I am alone, handling a task at hand. I am easily distracted, which sometimes makes doing something easier, because I don't really focus on how long or how difficult the task is. Having said that, when I am all by myself, I can zero in on what needs to be done. Sometimes I am aided by music, or tv as background noise, but it's mostly when nobody is around and I am without any sort of distraction that I do my best, most resourceful work. When I am in solitude, I can fully express my thoughts and motions without judgement.
I am in flow when I am in a good mood and an focused, with no distractions. I flow better when alone, music helps also. I have flow in the beginning, and near the end I get lazier and more anxious to finish. I believe people get the flow by being focused, just like I do, and should be motivate or determined. They should like what they are doing and it depends on their types of intelligences
i am most definately at flow when i am doing something i love and i am passionate for. when i am cooking, hanging out with family, friends, and being with my boyfriend is when my flow is circulating. also when i am listening to music i love, it is easy for me to concentrate and have my mind flow. i honestly do not have flow whatsoever when i am doing homework. my flow when i do homework is like the flow of a newbie playing dance dance revolution; stiff and robotic. it is hard to concentrate because it is not something i want to do.
When I was most in flow is when im playing football. My adrenaline rushes through my body right before i tackle my fellow opponent, and also the feeling after when i get up after the tackle. It feels good just to let out all your anger and just letting it out on another person legally. When other people are in flow is mainly when they are doing what they love and also something that they can do for hours and never ever get bored from it. Also people that have careers and a job that they love they are also in flow.
I'm in flow mostly when I'm at work, when I'm playing a card game or when I'm doing homework. The lunch and dinner rush gives me such adrenaline. I know what to do, and when to do it. Especially for my customers. When I'm playing speed, 13 or other card games it gives me excitement and I'm more hyper when I win, and I just want to keep playing over and over. It's like I'm in a "zone". When I'm doing homework, I'm so focus on what I'm doing, i don't like getting distracted till I'm finish. I start with one class, than go to the next class.
I think people are in "flow" when they're in their comfort zone, especially when that comfort zone is mixed with their passion. I believe flow can happen anywhere as long you know what your doing, and you love what you are doing.
I think i am most in flow when im playing games. my attention is completely focus and tends to ignores anything that tries to distract me. My mind is constantly trying to predict what my opponent is thnking and to manipulate what they're doing.
I thnk People are most in flow when they're in school. Although some people dont pay as much attention as others. They are constanly trying to comprehend what the proffesor is trying to teach. We need good flow to do well on our quizes and tests.
I am most in flow when i'm listening to music and dancing. listening to music and dancing is something i love to do and i think dancing is a form of exercise. People are most in flow when they do what they love most. For example singing, dancing, exercising, designing etc
I am in flow when I am playing basketball. Basketball takes away from everything and puts me in a place usually can't get to. I believe people are in flow when they are concentrated on something that the person enjoys. Could be sports, singing, eating, listening to music, or simply relaxing.
When are you most in Flow? When do you believe most people are in Flow? Examples?
I am most in flow when I'm focused on something, whether it be dancing, working out, or when I'm surprisingly doing my homework. xD When my mind is set on a certain objective, my mind and body just go and time seems to just pass me by...in a good way.
I believe most people are in flow when people do something with a lot of focus and have fun doing it. Flow won't be at its peak if a person does something while in the back of their mind he or she probably despises it. An example where flow definitely occurs is singing. Getting into the song, a person can lose themselves into the emotional depth of the song, creating a steady and powerful source of flow.
BTW, totally ignore the copy and pasted question I put on there. I just needed it as a reference because it sucks scrolling up and down. ;) :) Besides, other people can use it too. ;)
I am most in flow when i am sitting still. I take that time to think about every situation or problem that i am currently encountering. After that time is done, I get up and try to solve any of the problems i thought of. I think people are most in flow when they are relaxing.
I think I am most in flow when I am either just sitting down, not having any music or anyone talking to me. Just me and my thoughts. I then have the ability to just zone and focus in on myself. It often helps me realize what kind of person I've been like. For example, the other day I sat down in my room with a lit candle and just sat there and I realized that I haven't been such a great daughter toward my parents and i've been kinda treating them like shit. So now I realize i need to get my act together otherwise we're going to have problems.
I think most people are in flow when they do something that calms themselves. For example, a lot of athletes are in flow when they are doing their sport. They become in the zone and they have an adrenaline rush, but at the same time it's the thing that relaxes them.
I think people are in their flow when they accomplish something new, or a challange or a goal, or just by doing what they most enjoy. I think that accomplishments give you satisfaction.
This is why when I accomplish something I feel I'm most in my flow.
I’m most in flow when I’m out on the soccer field. When I’m at practice I don’t think about anything else, I’m focused on what we’re doing in the practice. During a game, I do the same thing. I focus on playing my game and giving 100 and 10%. With my goal being to help out my teammates and play the game like it’s my last. I feel people are in flow when there doing something they love. Their love of what they’re doing helps them escape to a place where they stay focused and enjoy what they are doing. -Athena Reclusado
I am most in flow when I am relaxed and doing something I enjoy. Basketball is one thing that gets me going because it helps calms me and takes my mind off the stresses i am going through at the time. I think most people are in flow when they do something that calms or relaxes them such as sports or doing something they love to do.
I am most in flow when I am wind surfing. The enjoyment of feeling the wind on your face, keeping balance while jumping over waves, controlling the sail, keeping full concentration for the sudden changes in wind strength and direction. I enjoy sooooo much, I don't think anything else other than wind surfing, I smell the beautiful sea and just concentrate on my body and nature.
There is an other place I also feel so in flow, it is dance floor. Not in competitions but in club dancing freely. When I am competing, my mind is on the counting steps, on the doing all the moves in the way they supposed to be, so I am not free. But in dance floor, I am creative, free, I don't care what is happening out of the dance floor, I don't care weather people liked my moves or not I just dance and most of the times, people looove it.
So I think people are in flow when they are doing things they love, they care, they are so passionate about. When they feel they are not under pressure their mood changes. so people are in flow when they are free like a bird.
Brittany I'm most in flow when I'm playing soccer. In game my goal is to focus on my opposing player, the one who I'm responsible for. I cannot let this player pass me or get around me. i have to do whatever it takes to prevent her from gaining any advantage. Others find their flow doing anything they are pssionate for. whether it's sport or a hobbie like cooking. i know that my grandma finds her flow when shes in the kitchen.
I think I'm in flow when I play my favorite sport which is tennis. This is sport that I have a lot fun. Every game brings me different experiences and feel like keep playing as much as I can. Therefore, I think that it gonna be the same for another people in flow when they do something that they feel like to do and enjoy it in positive ways.
Talking time is when I'm truly in flow. For instance, when I really enjoy telling someone about something that makes me so excited, I'm sure it's gonna be a non-stop story. I believe that people are in flow when they are busy talking about something and seem likely to continue for a long time.
I am most in Flow whenever I breakdance or whenever I'm listening to music. Thsoe two things go hand-in-hand together and whenever I'm engaging in one and/or the other, I just feel so at peace and really "in the zone" if you will.

ReplyDeleteI believe it works the same way for most people. People are in flow when they're doing an activity they enjoy doing, or when their minds' are stimulated just enough to the point to stay focused.

ReplyDeleteWhen I flow the most is when I write papers.
ReplyDeleteI think that people are most at flow whew they are doing or engaging it what they enjoy most in life.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, I feel I am most in flow when I am at the gym working out.
ReplyDeleteA few examples of Flow would be dancing, working out, playing a sport, and doing whatever you are most passionate about even if it is a part of your job or career.

ReplyDeleteI believe that "Flow" always occurs when most people started focusing on doing some activities that they like.
People are in flow when ever they do something they wanted to do, in other words something they like to do. People are totally engaged to the flow only at that time. Most of time I am in flow when I am drawing, also dancing.
ReplyDeletePeople are trying to get in to the flow even when they do something they don’t like to do, but it doesn’t give the full outcome that they want, because they do not pay full attention on they are doing.

ReplyDeletePeople are most likely to experience flow when there are goals to be met, their skills being challenged or if they are doing something they enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI think people are more in the flow when they are doing things that they enjoy doing.

ReplyDeleteI feel the most in the flow when I'm snowboarding. Flying down the mountain is extremly relaxing and calming. It allows me to clear my mind and not worry about what's going on in my life.
ReplyDeleteI think people are most in their flow when they are doing something they love.
ReplyDeleteI believe that people are most in flow when they find something that they love that helps them relax.
ReplyDeleteI believe that people are most in flow when they something the enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMost people are in flow when they are doing something that needs to be completed.
ReplyDeleteI am in 'flow' when I am alone, handling a task at hand.
ReplyDeleteI am in flow when I am in a good mood and an focused, with no distractions. I flow better when alone, music helps also. I have flow in the beginning, and near the end I get lazier and more anxious to finish.
ReplyDeleteI believe people get the flow by being focused, just like I do, and should be motivate or determined.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was most in flow is when im playing football. My adrenaline rushes through my body right before i tackle my fellow opponent, and also the feeling after when i get up after the tackle. It feels good just to let out all your anger and just letting it out on another person legally.
ReplyDeleteWhen other people are in flow is mainly when they are doing what they love and also something that they can do for hours and never ever get bored from it.
ReplyDeleteI think people are in "flow" when they're in their comfort zone, especially when that comfort zone is mixed with their passion.
ReplyDeleteI thnk People are most in flow when they're in school. Although some people dont pay as much attention as others. They are constanly trying to comprehend what the proffesor is trying to teach. We need good flow to do well on our quizes and tests.
--Mark Joseph Eroles
I am most in flow when i'm listening to music and dancing. listening to music and dancing is something i love to do and i think dancing is a form of exercise. People are most in flow when they do what they love most. For example singing, dancing, exercising, designing etc
ReplyDeleteI am in flow when I am playing basketball. Basketball takes away from everything and puts me in a place usually can't get to. I believe people are in flow when they are concentrated on something that the person enjoys. Could be sports, singing, eating, listening to music, or simply relaxing.
ReplyDeleteWhen are you most in Flow? When do you believe most people are in Flow? Examples?
ReplyDeleteI am most in flow when I'm focused on something, whether it be dancing, working out, or when I'm surprisingly doing my homework. xD When my mind is set on a certain objective, my mind and body just go and time seems to just pass me by...in a good way.
I just needed it as a reference because it sucks scrolling up and down. ;) :) Besides, other people can use it too. ;)

i am in flow when i come over the hard problem, or when i got something which are hard to achive.
ReplyDeletei think people will be in flow when they are doing what they want with their hearts.
I am most in flow when i am sitting still. I take that time to think about every situation or problem that i am currently encountering. After that time is done, I get up and try to solve any of the problems i thought of. I think people are most in flow when they are relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI think I am most in flow when I am either just sitting down, not having any music or anyone talking to me.
ReplyDeleteI think most people are in flow when they do something that calms themselves.
ReplyDeleteThis is why when I accomplish something I feel I'm most in my flow.
ReplyDeleteI feel people are in flow when there doing something they love.

ReplyDeleteThere is an other place I also feel so in flow, it is dance floor.

ReplyDeleteI'm most in flow when I'm playing soccer.
ReplyDeleteTalking time is when I'm truly in flow. For instance, when I really enjoy telling someone about something that makes me so excited, I'm sure it's gonna be a non-stop story. I believe that people are in flow when they are busy talking about something and seem likely to continue for a long time.
